Gotthelf Day Centre, Basel

This day centre in Basel is a single-storey, modular timber construction. The floor, the exterior and interior walls, and the roof are made from insulated timber frame elements. The building complies with the Swiss Minergie-P standard. The impressive façade features large larch windows, partly shaded by a solid timber grid made from Douglas fir slats. The continuous Douglas fir moulding nicely finishes off the outer appearance. The interior surfaces are made of wood and plaster. Häring Holz- und Systembau AG acted as the general contractor for this pavilion.
