Extra storey, Winterthurerstrasse in Zurich

This project added an extra storey with two new one-bedroom flats plus balconies[JT1]  to an apartment building on Winterthurerstrasse in the Schwamendingen district of Zurich using the ATTICO modular system. Each measured approximately 70 m². To reduce traffic noise, we installed soundproofing windows.

The owner was also able to take advantage of the scaffolding mounted against the façade for adding heat insulation and repainting the existing building. This kept the renovation costs to a minimum, thus improving the cost efficiency of the project.

Häring AG acted as the general contractor for the extension, working closely with the client’s representative.
