Burg school building Liestal

We produced 36 wood modules in all with a total area of 1,452 m2 for the Burg school building in Liestal. We prefabricated the modules in our plant in Eiken, then put them together on the building site. FSC-certified wood was used in the construction of the modules. The wood façade is made from native silver fir from the Basel region. The extension adds eleven classrooms, four group rooms and a common room for the students. It is designed to have a useful life that will last until it becomes necessary to renovate all the buildings on the site. Choosing a construction using sustainable wood modules meant shorter construction times and will also make it possible to use the modules for other purposes should the needs and requirements on room space change over the coming years.
